Good morning all...

Great shots Sean...nice...

I like the "Military Police" jeep.
I remember when I was in the service, the Military Police usually only handled on base problems or problems if you were in a foreign land. They could assist civilian police if asked.
There was a Military SIU (Special Investigation Unit) who had to attend Civilian Police College and handled more than just bar fights.
Today we see our Military Police riding with their civilian counterparts with the same authority. They are soldiers first, that has been made clear to them on several occasions but they are also Police Constables. The Military Police along with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police "RCMP" must know International Law, Canadian Federal Law, Provincial Law, the Laws of the Municipalities they operate in and Military Law. A Military Police Officer attends both a Civilian Police College and a Military one.
The problem here in Canada with the Military Police is like our Pilots after several years they leave the military and join a civilian outfit. This is expensive and the military tends to lose a lot of skilled people.
We the public have been telling the politicians for years to bring the pay scales in line with each other but it falls on deaf ears. ;D
I found out a little while ago that the jeeps the army used were all four wheel drive however the navy jeeps were only two wheel drive for the majority. Not sure about the airforce as I remember when they used station wagons and panel trucks.
That is one good looking "Stampe".
How much was he charging for rides or did you take one?
A quick question a little off topic Sean but how often are you folks having a flying club meeting a month. We are up to four now, two executive and two general and they want to throw in another executive meeting. Way to much for my liking.
Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
P.S. You learn more sitting around the bull shit table sipping tea in the mornings with the old retired flying geezers than you do at them meetings...
