Oregon International Airshow 2009

I volunteered at the local airshow, at Portland-Hillsboro Airport, KHIO if your wondering, I had to sell burgers and pizzas all weekend, I don't think I'll do that again.

Great shots, but let's try to keep them within the size limits  :)  I changed the oversized ones to links, you're welcome to re-upload them at the appropriate size (1024 wide is the limit)

I do find it quite amusing/strange/interesting the choice of aircraft that the US armed forces sometimes use for particular tasking. In this case, the Fokker F50. Not that I am complaining, but as they as rule buy "in house", there was no other aircraft type on the inventory that could have filled the slot

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I've seen Kent Pietch in Abbotsford for the last 3 or 4 years in a row, and I love watching his flying.  Everything he does is awesome, the comedy act, rooftop landing, and the deadstick routine.  Looks like Hillsboro was a good show!
