My home airport it like that! Except there are lakes on both ends of the runway.  :D

Come in low: SPLASH!
Come in high: Land halfway down the runway and.....SPLASH!

When there's a swirling wind off the big lake, it's hard to differentiate between how much of your cross-control is for the X-wind.. and how much of it is instinctive slipping  :D

Is this where I admit I had enough airspeed to get a baby touch-n-go out of this landing ?  .. and that touch two had a little side-loading ?
