Noctilucent Clouds - 12 07 09

Postby Omag 2.0 » Mon Jul 13, 2009 2:14 pm

Last night... after sunset... Noctilucent cloud display! Magic!!!

The sunrays reflecting on tiny ice crystals, 80 km above the earth... not that common in my part of the world...

One of the many joys of being a Motorcyclist, and enthusiastic Flight Simmer/Pilot, is always being aware of Weather conditions, including studying Cloud formations, etc...;(...!

My comfort/safety/life depends upon it!...!

Since using the various Flight Sims I seem to spend a lot of my time gazing up at the sky, and discerning different cloud formations, and estimating the possibility of "Bad Weather" en route...and how to avoid it!

I have learned a lot, and now have a great interest in "Weather"... :)...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004.... 8-)...!

If the Weather is "Bad", my Bike stays in the Garage, and my Sim Aircraft stays in its Hangar.....trust me!...;)...!

.... ;D...!

Great Britain, with its ever-changing "Temperate Weather", hour by hour, makes an interesting study of Cloud Formations!

Very interesting...

Out of curiosity, what kind of lens, and what exposure settings did you use?
