Nice group of pics! In the 3rd one I see all trigger fingers in the proper military position! Are those flash suppressors at the end of the barrels? We used them back in the day, with blanks, but I think they seemed boxier and larger then.

...nice to see that "Loop" didn't find it necessary/essential to pose for the photo wearing the the obligatory "North American Shades"...;)...;)... ;D...!

Not the USMC, but the special forces of the US Navy and Army. I would assume that since the Marines belong to the Squids, there could be some form of weapons-interchanging.

Whats up with refering to the Navy as the "squids"...

Questions answered  ;D

Those are not flash suppressors, that's just the end of the barrel.  We still use the BFA when using blank rounds, they are big red attachments we put on the end of the barrel, makes your rifle look like a toy.  We didn't fire blanks this operation, so no BFA's.  We also do not use them during funeral services, we just charge another round by hand in between shots.

We do not use Mk12's.  The current issue for Marines is the M-16A4, or the M4 Carbine.  And don't forget the .50 sniper rifle for the long reach.  Our side arm is still the piece of crap 9mm Beretta.  We also still fight using Bayonettes.

Our special forces and security forces may also carry the MP5 and a .45, but for the most part they will carry the M4 since you can put cool looking attachments on it that make you like you belong in a Tom Clancy video game.

Referring to sailors as squids?  Why do sailors call us jarheads or grunts?  It's all just part of the language  8-)

Yeah forgot about the M107 :P I bet you want the pistols changed huh, my favourite would be the 1911 Series 70 but i am guessing most of the Marines would want a Sig Sauer or newer Beretta

Just give me a .45, anything but the 9mm, the enemy laughs at us when we shoot at them with it  :P  Thankfully we have our rifles lol

Yeah but then the enemy laughs at you because he has 7.62 :P
USMC should adopt a 6.8mm Rifle they are good.. like a HK416 or M468, but the Bushmaster ACR would be even better. Though personally i think the M16A4 and the M4 are fine

Aside from all the jamming they are awesome, the 5.56 round we use actually does more damage internally thanthe 7.62 they use, which just goes right through you.  (not that that's cool, just sayin)
