Any help identifying this spider?

I was going to say; I don't think it's a wolf spider, don't they usually have more markings on them, such as this one? (we found him dead, unfortunately, in our pool when we went to Cyprus last year) - but the spider in question doesn't look too much like this one...

My house is full of all sorts of different Spiders scuttling around...

...fascinating, and very intelligent creatures...

They are good company, and I spend hours talking to them*... ...!

Well there is a third one now in as many days.

He looks quite harmless though, might grab him off the ceiling and keep him as a pet for a few minutes. Well, the 'proper' pets are outside somewhere.
