So I drove back to my original spot, and it wasn't long before I spotted this beauty coming in. I was ready to take the shot, but when I pressed the shutter button, the camera started beeping. To my utter horror, I still had the 10 second timer delay mode turned on from my moon photos lastnight. My only gripe with that feature is that I don't know of a way to cancel it during the timer countdown. I really need to get in the habbit of double checking ALL of those settings before taking a time sensitive photograph...

I don't know if the airport is generally this slow, if approach control took a 30 min lunch break, or if it was just a slow day, but I waited half an hour before another aircraft landed. A couple airliners took off during that time period, but I didn't get any decent photos.
