Deptford Down: Star Visitor

Postby Mictheslik » Thu May 28, 2009 5:06 pm

Having seen a blue 4x4 pull up we thought 'Uh-oh, we're gonna get some picky warden who'll find some way of moving us along even though we're on a public byway'.....however, it happened to belong to some chaps from Brize who told us that due to the bad weather yesterday the scheduled herc landing had been canceled and rescheduled for today.

The result being a movement which almost made up for hearing the Hip call up and do confined space training less than 10 miles from where we were :( :P

Oh this one's in pretty good nick...most have bare metal surfaces on the leading edge of the tail and wings now due to continual exposure to sand in the middle east. The green panelling at the bottom is some kind of armoured metal that protects the cabin that was retrofitted after delivery.
