Just when you get into drive mode and you see a departing subject, all you need to do is have the exposure set and hold the button.....

I've taken hundreds of shots similar to that one. Well, perhaps they're not as nicely focussed.

Ken, that was just a perfect picture of a wind sock, to bad that plane had to ruin it.

Agreed, it's pretty rare we get to see such a close up and well lit sock, well done!  Sorry the plane ruined it for you.
