Southern Comfort...Royal Navy Style

Why fit a smoke system to a classic warbird. ::) Nice shots nonetheless.

Good morning all... :)

Little known fact Big Truck that:

When the Navy Avaitors of the Royal Canadian Navy landed at a Royal Canadian Air Force Station which operated F86 Sabres after a few wobbly pops and enough bets were made the contest was on.

The bet was to have a Sea Fury and a F86 side by side for take off and to see who would reach 6000ft

Loverly shots. Nice to see it is with an original paint scheme and not had a "Reno" done to it.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I dunno, it was coming directly out of the exhaust and he was the only bird with any type of "smoke display" on while they flew (he flew with a Yak 3 and the two P-51's)

If you look carefully at shots 4 & 5 the smoke is coming from only one exhaust port on each side. That would seem to indicate an onboard smoke system for display purposes.
