...if the US Army Golden Knights didn't open it up with the National Anthem and the Stars and Stripes falling from the sky  8-)

The Red Eagles assisted them in escorting the colors down, circling the paratrooper in their Pitts as he decended, a beautiful tribute while they sang the National Anthem.

For some reason the Army used pink smoke...I'm not saying anything against my fellow ground pounders...but....pink?

To answer your question, "No" the chutes were no ware close to as good as these. This is one of the reasons I'm disabled with a bad back, hips, knees, etc., etc.

NASA - 81 skydivers fly in formation at sunset. Three Kennedy Space Center engineers helped set two new world records in the parachuting sport of "canopy formation" on Nov. 25 and 26.
