Cool shots! I may have to try if it ever stops raining... Got lots of bees around my backyard, +25,000, because of we have a beehive setup. The bad part is I'm allergic to bee stings, so risk my life for a couple of photographs...sure why not? :P

Great in flight shots. I never had the patience or the steady hand to shoot anything in flight.

Very nice both sets. ;)

I would be terrified to have 25,000 bees in my backyard. I think I would have a mysterious napalm explosion to take care of it..... ;D

It was very comfy, I just sat next to the tree, the sun was warm, I had my arms propped up on my knees and a certain area that I focused on so once a bee flew in I was able to just get a quick focus and snap the shot.  the bees are about a foot away in these shots.

It turns out they seem to just be protecting the few flowers that are blooming on my lemon tree.

Please do, the Funnel Web is one hell of a spider and I would love to see it in person (vicariously of course lol)
