Enjoy! First plane is the one that I was asked about pictures for, others are a different citation.

I love the last one with the panel.  Haven't seen one like that in a while!(I usually see only the props)

The second to last shot is my favorite..."Dude, did you see the chick in the plane we just passed?"

Haha, there actually was a Beech Baron 58 taking off with a woman pilot and her three kids (2 dogs and one child), but the reason he was looking was to see if the wing would clip me, seeing as I was around 11 feet away from the nose at the time (give or take two feet).

Wow I was just checking around Austin and you guys don't really have a large airport other than Austin intl! Great shots, especially the one with the heat shimmer! I can't wait to get my DSLR (whenever I get it) ;D Will you be coming back down to sa for the Airshow this year? What lens are you using to get these shots also? :)

I don't think they have Airfest this year, I think it's every other year  :-/. If they do, then I'll be there for sure.

I am using a 55-250 MM IS lens for these except for the interior shot, which was taken with a 18-55 MM IS lens  ;).

Also, KAUS was voted the #3 best airport in North America, and I've heard that Rick Perry is bringing some money from the Obamavault for an expansion.

Well, I don't know about the XS- I'd go for the XSi, as the cost will probably be negligible for what you're getting.

I didn't really notice the difference with IS today, seeing as the shutter speeds I was dealing with were in the 1/2000 area  ;D
