New years Eve Fire

Postby glennlcasey » Thu Jan 01, 2009 6:23 am

There was a medium size fire about 2 suburbs over from me on New Years Eve. The fire helicopters were out doing their part and i was able to get some shots. The bombing shots were taken about a mile away, and the refilling shots about 30m. Some of the helo shots were blurred due to shooting through heat and smoke

Big drink. The amount of downdraft was amazing, since the temperature was over 39 degrees or at least a 100 fahrenheit, everyone ran over to be doused in the spray

well they have the elvis skycrane on the east coast. But yeah, we got the seaking last year, as a replacement for 4 agtruck water bombers we used to have. So now there's 4 squirrels and a seaking for firesuppression

Well mine weren't because i was heading off to a party when i saw this.

Like i said we used to have 4 agtrucks for firefighting during the summer months. During winter, they were relocated for crop dusting purposes. Last time i checked, they're mainly out in the country now
