Omag has the blues...

Postby Omag 2.0 » Sun Oct 05, 2008 5:47 am

Never got around to check out the blues, but trought my photography-forums in Belgium, I was introduced to the work of miss Ana Popovic. I checked out her myspace, liked what I heared and attended a her concert in Aalst last friday... I was blown away! Now here's a woman that knows how to play guitar! Dirty blues & rock. She'll be in the US later this year, so check her out if you have the chance!

The club itself was seriously small and dark, but these shots capture the mood of the gig...

Wow

black and white really works for these. Gives them the atmosphere of an intimate space.....lovely quality aswell.....were these taken with the sigma 200 or the smaller one......?

I used my Sigma 24-70 f2.8... by the time the gig started I couldn't get to my rucksack with other lenses no more. But that wasn't a big deal, as I was shooting at iso 1600 and shuttertime of 1/100 or less, so the 70-200 was out of the question...

BW due to the horrible lighting on stage... everyone looked pink, red or blue, depending on the setting of the led-spots... Looks aweful...  ;D
