Status Quo

Postby FsNovice » Fri Oct 03, 2008 11:29 am

Went to see the legendary Status Quo on Wednesday night. First gig, certainly the band to go and see, such a rapport with the audience. Just a few photos that came out well

Image
Francis Rossi( no i don't know what hes looking at) and Andy Brown on the right playing guitar and Harmonica
Image
Matt Letley and his amazing drum solo. It was, no joke, about 5 minutes long, to give the other guys a break before the last burst of songs! He kept on teasing the audience by slowing down, as if to have finished, then went crazy again. Got a very well deserved standing ovation( well to be fair most of the audience was standing anyway!, so just an ovation!)
Image
John Edwards on Bass. After the final break they had, he came on in almost a fit of hysterics and could barely stop laughing till the end, was funny to watch him!!

Unfortunately, none of Rick Parfett, they all came out Blurred. Hope you enjoyed

OMG- they're still alive?!  :o
Rossi is probably looking at what guitar players are always looking at: some hot chick in the front rows. ;)

They have a very good live reputation, no matter how old they are...

And Rotty, wouldn't you do just the same if you had the chance? I know I would!  ;)

Not criticizing; I've been there. It's a little harder from behind the drums, but it's always worth a look... ;D

I used to go to the Quo's Christmas concerts at Wembley Arena every year, good to see they've still got it.

They're a good, entertaining live band.. not like some I could mention.

Nice photos  8-)
