Thanks.

Well, I was hired by ExpressJet in Nov 07 and never saw a class date which in the long run turned out to be a good thing.  XJT just recently furloughed over 250 pilots.  I think the most junior FO was hired April 07.

Since then, I've been hired to fly for Republic Airways.  I actually had an EMB-145 training date with them under the Chautaqua certificate, but then they lost their Frontier contract when Frontier filed bankruptcy and as a result canceled all new hire classes.  Since then they've furloughed around 50 or so pilots.  Dodged another bullet there, especially as they have a $15,000 training agreement.

In July I was hired by SkyWest. They assigned me to the EMB-120 Brasilia, but have also postponed new hire classes.  Last I heard they were offering voluntary furloughs and don't anticipate any training classes until next year.

So for now I've accepted a "promotion" as Assistant Chief Flight Instructor at my current job and am also chasing some corporate jobs.

Speaking of which, I gotta go fly.

See ya around.

Hey, Denton!!  Good to see you back!!  I haven't been on the Photo Forum in a while to check on you!!  I saw the answer you gave James and it's a shame with the situation the airlines are in that it sucks for a pilot.  Did you ever look into flying for a cargo company?  No whinning passengers!!

Great shot!!
