Nice shot, I like how the corners are darken. Thats one BIG catfish! ;)

Did you happen to use a lense hood?  I noticed quite a few of my pics come out with darkened corners when i use my hood...

What 70-300? Sigma or Canon with IS?

I never had issues with the hood on my 70-300IS...

I haven't either, I think this was a result of a contrast adjustment, and a small computer screen

I have the 70-300 IS and I have never used it without the hood, I have never had that happen, unless you have the wrong hood!

Sounds like I'm wrong then haha, I had assumed it was the hood that was darkening my corners but i did some research and according to my PC Magazine DSLR book, it's a form of distortion, not sure what causes it though.
