Nice bike!!  I have a TREK 430 I brought back in 1989 and it still is going strong!!  Second best bike I ever owned next to my Schwinn Orange Crate I had as a kid and still wished I had!!

Bilkes from the 80's are amazing. I have to confess that I wouldn't mind an old Trek, back then they were stong, light, and simple. The old bianchis are sweet too, they are still going for 700 bucks on ebay! Nowadays everyone is way to focused on ergonomics, aerodynamics and power transfer that they've forgot how to make a good bike. One time, I was descending the local 'mountain' with my team, and we were taken by an old guy riding a steel frame bianchi track bike, freaking maniac! I have to say though, carbon/suspension forks are much nicer on the upper body than rigid forks  :P

Just be glad you dont have the added hassle of Hydraulic Disc Brakes. My front one packed up today, and me and my dad spent about 2 hours or more trying to locate the problem. But they work brilliant when they want to work!!, could never go back to V Brakes, but by god they can get expensive if you dont do maintance in house!! Just lucky my dad does most vehicle maintance himself, and bleeding the brakes is one of the things he can do... i dread to think of the workshop costs to find such a fault.
Nice bike BTW  :P
