Tiger Tank

Postby Ravang » Sat Jul 19, 2008 12:37 pm

Well this is the turn out of my latest modeling project, a Tiger I Tank. I tried to give the pictures that WWII movie look.

I know Bjorn would like this if he was still here. (Who's to say he isn't :-/) ;)

I love the Tiger, especially the King Tiger(KoningsTiger, PzKpfwVI). I'm still working on a game in wich you control one of those. Thats the Henschel turret, right?

Thats odd, I just got into armour modelling (1/72 to start off with), and I was about to post a question here on SimV asking what colour T-80Bs are painted with (anyone know the FS number?), but refrained thinking no one cared for tanks.

Beautiful model, thats great quality.

I must ask, in what order do you assemble a tracked AFV? I don't know whether to paint the tracks and hull before mounting them together..aircraft are easy, as you can finish the general assembly before painting anything..

I would paint them before, saves you a lot of taping, if that is even possible at all!

I love tanks, there kinda bulky and massive, but you dont want to run into them  ;D.

I'm only a RC boat modeller, so dont take my word for it, but that is how i would do it.

Its also fully RC with a BB firing cannon. [smiley=evil.gif]

I would paint it first than build it, than do the weathering when its built with an airbrush, or something.

Yeah true, but if you want to wash it first with a black or white colour then you should do that after the painting and before the assembly, otherwise it might get rather hard to make it all working.
