Disappointment....

Postby Mictheslik » Wed Jun 11, 2008 10:21 am

6.5 hours on a hill with Steve (61_OTU) just for one Tucano!!!! (albeit a pretty one)

The first disappointment.....Tornado in the distance, unfortunately nowhere near us :(

Then, after spotting a glint in a far off valley about 9 people in a welsh valley were possibly the happiest men in the world....;)

USAF were around....but they were taking low flying to new heights....

Finally, the last big disappointment....a pair of harriers leaving the Bwlch and heading off towards Bala.....obviously Steve needs to reverse the polarity on his Harrier magnet ;)

Nice shots, Mic. What was so special about that Tucano?

It's operated by Qinetiq or the Empire Test Pilot's School, as a test airframe, from Boscombe Down hence the nice colourscheme. Normal RAF Tucanos are all black (sometimes with yellow stripes)

I think that there's only a couple of Tucanos in the red and white colour scheme, so it's nice to get to see them  :)
