A fine day in Sussex

Postby Hagar » Sat Jan 12, 2008 7:03 pm

I woke up this morning to bright sunshine. A nice surprise after a week of rotten weather. Thought I would toddle over to Shoreham to see what was going on. Glad I went as the light was almost perfect. Here's a few of my typical over-the-fence shots to start off the New Year.*

Three very smart examples of the Jodel family. A nice Jodel D140C. Those are birds, not dust bunnies. Image

followed by two of its younger sisters, the Robin DR400/500.

I see no ships. :D

Pretty little Reims Cessna 150L Aerobat.

Beagle Pup. Designed & built at Shoreham.

Super Decathlon.

*I was hoping to post some shots of the New Year's Day fly-in at Popham. It was well supported & a great day out but the light was bad & they didn't come out as I would have liked. :'(

An excellent start to 2008 Doug.

I can't help thinking the pilot in the second Robin looks a little tense. :)

Thanks everyone. I was quite pleased with these.

It's a Robin. (Avions Pierre Robin)
Very smart indeed. Amazing the difference a decent paint scheme makes.

Ta Mic. The owners live at Chelmsford, Essex which doesn't mean a lot. I forgot to check the arrivals on the live Flight Info board to see where it came from. ::) :-[

Well spotted Mic. Looks like the same paint job. Maybe mine escaped. ;) Not listed here. http://www.aeroclub.co.uk/Reservations.aspx

Very sad. Perhaps G-BCDY is a replacement.

It's a Robin. (Avions Pierre Robin)

Indeed it is... for some reason I mixed the name with the small chopper.

It reminds me of the C-150 that is availible for flightsimulator made by those french guys.

Nice shots, although some look a bit overexposed.
