Wintry Lyneham

Postby Mictheslik » Wed Dec 19, 2007 1:23 pm

Spent today at Lyneham following an aborted mach loop trip. Spent 2 and a half hours in the cold to see practically nothing. However I was treated to some real gems towards the end.

Lots of hercs as ever, not many flying. In fact the only flying herc I got a picture of was this special ops C130K as it sped down the runway at low level just as I arrived

An annoyingly close ramp

Lovely clear weather with scattered clouds......shame the sun was in th wrong place for good pics...

A rather strange low pass from Omega's DC10. It didn't land or takeoff from Lyneham, just decided to give them a visit....I'm not complaining...

My favourite cherokee....G-VICC (remember the green.......)

Another flyover from this sea king

Boo hiss. They'll put military AAR out of business if we aren't careful...

Are you based at Brize? I was considering going there today, but chose Lyneham instead....
