Hot Clio

Postby TSC. » Wed Dec 05, 2007 9:24 am

Just two snaps from my travels yesterday, rushing to get to Liverpool, I just managed to get passed this hot Clio before the fire brigade turned up & no doubt closed the motorway.

Luckily everybody had managed to get out of the Clio & my mum was riding shotgun so she managed to get two blurry shots.

Whoa! That's not pretty!  :o

Must be horrible when that happens! And the heath is just overwhelming. I once passed a burning van and the heath was almost intolerable...

Would that be considered a " Hot Rod " ?  :D

Glad to see that everyone involved was safe!!  I had a gas filter crack on a pick-up truck I used to own and caught fire.  I was lucky in that I had always carried a fire extinguisher with me and was able to save it without that much damage.

The worst road incident i have ever been involved in is a tyre blowout, like 8 or 9 years ago, which isnt fun, but luck appeared to be on this drivers side, massive engine fire there.

Ahhh, reminds me of several weeks ago, when my mum's taxi caught on fire.
She just tried to turn the ignition and smoke started pouring out, she ran home to ask Dad what to do and asked the taxi firm.
Dad said call the fire brigade, taxi company said wait 5 minutes it might be steam!
15 minutes later the whole of the front of the car was ablaze, much like those shots there!  Nobody was injured though!
At least nobody in the Clio was hurt.  I feel bad for the car also, those new Clios are nice little motors.
