My first "official" publication...

Postby Omag 2.0 » Sun Oct 28, 2007 4:46 pm

This weekend I discovered that one of my EBBR-spotting shots has been published in the renomated Dutch photography magazine Focus. ( http://www.focusmedia.nl)

Quite a nice surprise... BUT... they didn't even bother to ask me my permission... Seems they just took over some shots from www.airliners.be , where I have an album. Off-course I've sent a small email to request some response on how this could have happened...

It's the TNT 737 in the lefthand upper corner...

Remarkable resemblance to this shot, don't you think?

TNT shot

I wonder how they will respond...

Mmm, though one. There doesn't appear to be any mention of copyright on the airliners.be website. Maybe worth watermarking them in future... :-?

It must have been taken by the bloke who was standing next to you when you took it Kris... you know, the chap who was elbowing you out of the way, just to get the same shot...  ;)  :P

Good luck, and hope you get the recognition you deserve.

Maybe it's time for some watermarking software  :P

Well, after beeing warned by a professional photographer, who liked my concert-photo work, I decided to tag them. As from now all my shots will be marked.

The gentleman that started our spotters group has had some of his pictures published in a few different mags around the world.  The only thing he asked them is for a couple copies of the mag and they sent it to him.

Congrats on them using your shot!!  Now if they had only told you!!!!
