While you where sleeping Pt 4A

Postby expat » Fri Oct 26, 2007 1:57 pm

As I said, an over night visitor. I was somewhat surprised that I was able to get so close. She was all alone on the ramp, no security or movement sensors (as previous sensitive visitors have had).
You could have eaten your dinner off the engine cowls she was so clean. Thought about a magic marker and a "I was ere" in the undercarriage bay, but international incidents can be ugly things ;D

Matt

PS, as usual all pictures taken with my cellphone/handy/mobile.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Mmm, somewhat surprising they don't cover the turrets (not for any security reasons, but to prevent thm from people poking around). I suppose in the end it's just like any other aircraft - they expect the airport to do its security, and I'm sure depending on the nature of the "freight" they'll take adequate precations the next day, and take the keys with them! ;D

Not good enough for some people though. That's why we have Blair/Brown Force 1 on order (a civvy aircraft). The RAF aren't good enough for them... :P

What would have been sensible would be another A330 or two as part of the FSTA contract for the RAF with a VIP fit...

...then again, the RAF may never actually get FSTA, or any other tanker. :-?
