Worth really getting run over for.

Postby expat » Thu Sep 13, 2007 8:23 am

Looking through some very old pictures, I came across these that I took in March 91. In a previous life I was Stationed in Germany. At the weekend the airfield was closed and turned over to the gliding club, though ATC remained active for the MATZ. We got a call that all gliders had to land, inbound traffic. Saw this behemoth in the distance and grabbed  my camera. I started to wonder over towards the runway, waiting for someone to call me back/say something. I got to about 20 meters from said runway before the pucker factor got the better of me. Still for a point and shoot camera (I have no idea what these where taken with) they came out OK for the time. The scan quality is not so good as the pictures have faded a little.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

What a nice catch......can you imagine what you may have done with a serious camera ?......still, you did capture some hidden information which can be brought out by P'shop enhancement.........

It had to turn on the runway and come back up. G
