A little beach outing... left-coast style

Postby beaky » Thu Aug 23, 2007 10:44 pm

Took a drive down to Silver Strand, and then Imperial Beach after work today... had a little dip in the kelp-infested surf and a nice nap on the sand. Walked out onto the pier at Imperial Beach, dodging the flying hooks of shoulder-to-shoulder anglers along the rails ("No Overhead Casting Allowed"; yeah right).
Took some bad-to-mediocre pictures, and here they are.

No, it's Imperial...the apartment is right up Palm Ave, so I just drove straight out from there.

Y'know, I've found that the irony of nude beaches is that they're usually frequented by people you  don't want to see naked...  :o

Wrong or right, it's nice to see the sun set over the ocean. ;D

It's a work trip, unfortunately... Airventure was my "vacay" for this year. I'm helping install the A/V for this place, which is opening in just over a month:

Where are those cliffs? I think i might try a hang-gliding class if it doesn't take four weekends to finish my tailwheel course... ;D
