What aircraft was that between the last sunset shot and the KC-130 and who does it belong to?

Great shots, BTW.

All the best,

An Ilyushinl-76

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I believe it's an Ilyushin IL-76, not positive who it belongs to though, there were a few of them that flew in every week with that paint job or all white, I believe they were contracted through the UN to haul supplies to some of the civilian contractors working with us, I'm not sure...

Maybe some of the pros here recognize the paint job and know who owns the bird??

The one in the picture is from Volga Dnepr... probably a recent addition as they didnt care to paint it in their own scheme yet.

Is this Iraq? Afganistan? Or just practice in the US? Great variety of aircraft and some nice action shots! I love the dusty Medevac arrival!

As the Il76 is banned in the US for its noise it isnt in the US...

Amound of grass and flat horizons make me think that its Iraq

These were all taken in various areas in Iraq, I spent most of my time in the Al Anbar province but got to travel to different areas via helicopter, thus making some good aviation photo oppurtunities.

Thanks for the info Ivan and thanks for the compliments all!  More photos to come once I get them cleared  ;)
