airventure 07- part 20- more jets!

Oh yes, of course there's more jets...  ;D

Yet another L39... very snazzy, right down to the upholstered baggage compartment (I like all the pockets- that's a good idea)..

Another one-of-a-kind: the only flying Fury in the world.

Another look at that sweet NASA F-18, looking very nice after a storm.

Without a long lens I could not get many good aerial shots... but I hope these convey some of the excitement of being at AirVenture.

I sure do love me some Sabres... got some terrific video of this one, too- sounds great.

Another pass by the old Lockheed, leaving twin trails of show smoke. Beautiful.

The Eagle pilot hauls it over the top in a blistering high yo-yo maneuver...

Best time to wander the static areas with a camera are at sunup or sundown... I like this shot.

Nice shots.

The FJ-4B, I take it that was the carrier version of the F86 or is there more to it than that?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Yes and yes... I don't know the whole story, but it is, I believe, a "Navy-ized" offshoot of the F-86.

The NASA F-18 looks so much more dynamic than its military brethren.

And nice "cold war tribute" shot.
