airventure 07- part 18- more military props!

A gaggle of Nanchangs... the announcer noted that the young designer of this type had never flown in an airplane in his life... until he made it to Oshkosh one year, and they got him up in one of the trainers he designed. ;D

Plenty of classic American ATs  this year, of course...

Did this one fly in from South Africa? Could be- in '03, there was a guy who flew a Lancair or something from S.A.

The "Trojan Horses" do their thing, prop tips creating the most mind-blowing racket... the exhaust note as they pass is very distinctive, too.

Looks like the PT-26 Cornell, Canadian-built version of the Fairchild PT-19.

'Specially when you're driving a big brute like a  Helldiver and a Zero gets on your tail... ::)
