WSM Air day: Marineflieger Sea King

Postby Mictheslik » Thu Jul 26, 2007 12:57 pm

It brightened up in the afternoon with the appearance of a few more helicopter types....the RNHF sea fury was due to show up but was cancelled...as was a BBMF spit...

Marinefliegers put in a good appearance....though they strayed over the crowdline more than a few times ;)

This is uncropped.....it was a very crazy approach, straight over our heads at about 15 feet....knocked all the barriers and bins over :D

Mic, your shots so far have persuaded me to go this weekend. Looks good fun. You know you said there was a fee for seeing the statics, any gauge on what this is? Only asking as i dont think there will be huge amounts of displays later on in the week, a few flyins but the bigguns were apparently today. Thanks, and great shots BTW

Maybe they did it on purpose - Bjorn-style. Maybe they were hoping to 'accidentally' squash a few tommies ;D

Great shots here mic - they show the action well.
