Virginia trip - BWI 7/1/07 part one

I headed down to Richmond, Virginia this weekend for the IRL race. On the way back, I took a detour into BWI. I only came to get the World MD-11 but the ATI DC-8 and California One were very welcome surprises. Special thanks to Craig, my air traffic controller.

It's very well worth it. That was the fourth time I've been down there, and it certainly won't be the last. They get some interesting stuff there.

It's actually very easy to get there. The worst part of the trip is gambling if 95 will be clear. BWI gets some cool stuff though. And the park is a prem-o spot for spotting. As a matter of fact, the name of the park is the Thomas A. Dixon Aircraft Observation Area. So no cops to have to worry about.
