Biggin Hill 07...WW2 era and Typhoon

Postby Mictheslik » Sun Jun 03, 2007 4:50 am

The show started with a spitfire being flown in formation with an RAF Typhoon, and during the course of the disply (whilst I was there...had to leave early) we saw a WW2 senario with mock dogfights between Spitfires and the Buchon. Also present in terms of WW2 era aircraft were the BBMF (a seperate thread) and Sally B being accompanied by P51 Ferocious Frankie!

Nice to see the Spitfire/Typhoon combo. Coningsby did a similar thing with a Spitfire XIX/Tornado F2 when that came into service in 1985/6 season. :)

I agree, either keep the Messerschmitt, or go completely spitfire, but please dont mix the two ;)

No, sorry.

A Bf-109 is worthless without a good DB-601/3/5
