It isnt the quality of the shot... its the relative quality.

If the first one was a Turkmenistan AF MiG-25 in Ashkabad it would have been accepted... the nth picture of a F-15 with heat blur just isnt good enough (interesting subject counts more than quality)

You can get in the library with a 747SP with both wingtips cropped off as long as the photo is taken in Tehran..
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

Instead of explaining why you didn't, maybe you'd be better just reading the rules and re-posting? ;)

Man, you guys are being really hospitable to the new guy here.  It's not like I'm trying to be antiauthority and not adhere to the rules here.  I don't mind uploading pics.  I was making fun of my mistake and instead I catch a whole lot of flak for it.  For a while I thought this was a cool place to hang out and post some photos, but I guess I'll have to reconsider.

One thing that irritates me is that Simviation allows you to use your own avatar and gives you the option of using a url address to the avatar; however, if you use the url they won't allow it and ask you to upload the picture.  Perhaps someone wouldn't mind explaining that one to me as well.

That's not an option the admin has. The management asks that you host every image you put on SimV to the specific SimV server.

Hi mate.
The reason for the upload rules is to avoid bandwidth issues. Simv has the limits in place to keep the site running smoothly and as cheaply as possible. We've had some problems in the past with images causing the site to come to a halt.

Honestly, no offense taken.  The first one I quoted just came across to me as rather "smart" thats all.   8-)

Thats all well and good, and I understand that now that I've read the rules ;), but when I went to my profile and modified it I was given that option.  I'm all about keeping things cheap and I appreciate forums like this that allow users to participate free of charge.  I guess I was just more or less irritated at what came across to me as a "smart" comment.  Anyway, I'll take Heathaze's advice and get off my soapbox now.  8-)
