Ohhhhhhhh exciting news!

Postby ozzy72 » Wed May 16, 2007 11:07 am

Well after much discussion in the Auto Forum and research on the net and kissing the bank managers botty tomorrow I'll be heading to Budapest for the last time in my much loved and trusty old Ford Escort :'( :'( :'(
But I'll be comin' home in a shiny new Renault Megane 1.9 dCi estate with a seriously good CD player (gotta dig out some tunes for the journey) 8-) 8-) 8-) and lots of nice extras (does anyone want to give me an in car DVD system to keep Mini-Mod busy?)
So lo here are a couple of snaps of the new Ozmobile...

And before anyone asks why I've got a diesel there are two reasons, firstly you get better mileage for your juice and secondly diesel is about 10-15% cheaper here than petrol ;)
So beware old ladies, cats and pigeons who are on the road [smiley=evil.gif]

Nice one.
I've never been a fan of the Renault's, but I did like the Megane when I did the test drive last year.

Just be careful not to prang it on the way home with your tunes pumped up high  ;)

Remember to keep the shiney side up!!

I screwed that one up just once in my trusty Mazda when I clipped a tree trunk on the side of the road which ripped off my left front wheel and caused the car to flip at 50MPH :-[ :-[ :-[

Nice one Mark, Renault diesel engines are excellent for reliability and economy.

Yup, the sparks were impressive and the bits of red hot tarmac that came through the screen totalled my favourite denim shirt :'( :'( :'(

That nice new CD player, I can here it now, MiniMod strapped in, chair dancing along to:

The wheels on the bus go round and round.
Bob the Builder, we can fix it.

Much to her mothers disgust Mini-Mod likes the Blue Brothers OST. James Brown and Aretha Franklin rock and she has cool shades to aid listening to it 8-) 8-) 8-)

Been there, done that.

It's really scary when you realise that you've listened to both of the story tracks on 'Make way for Noddy' 3 times over, and the CD has just kicked back again to start playing the first track again. The you realise that for the last 35 minutes you've been the only person in the car......now that's messed up  :o :-[  ;D

Actually Mini-Mods only weird "kiddie" tendancies are for "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" from the Aristocats and songs from Jungle Book. Otherwise she isn't fussed. However she has picked up some stuff from Bob and frankly that is better than the fat ones whose name begins with T and whom I can't mention without looking like I've eaten a packet of Alka-Seltzer or worse the purple singing dinosaur from the US whom I wish to wipe out using soooooooooo much lead you could use the "B"-word as a pencil ;D
