Spotting at Sky Manor this afternoon, pt. 2

Postby flyboy 28 » Sat Apr 14, 2007 4:33 pm

I drove around back to see if there were any hangars open with interesting artifacts. Everything was all bundled up except for this lone Cessna 170.

I saw this big guy rumble past my house also. I couldn't place it until I looked it up. Turns out it's a 1955 Beech C-50. I had never even heard of the thing. Really cool though.

Then I saw this massive Blackhawk formation loom past. Also really neat. :)

Another view of that RV-6.

That's it for this weekend. No pics of the Berievs. Sorry. ;D

Looks like it's not been painted (or cleaned) since 1955 as well  ;)  ;D

The pic of the Beech is pretty dark, what camera settings were you using?

I believe I accidentally switched to shutter priority. I usually shoot in RAW and then do all the post processing myself. With the camera presets, it can come out pretty bad. ;)

Try the IrfanView "Auto adjust colours" feature. Doesn't always work but you might get a nice surprise. ;)

Thanks Doug. I really don't use Irfanview. I guess I'll have to give it a go. I used it once, but couldn't stand when all the icons for images turned into that little red splat thing. :P

It won't do that unless you select the option when you install it. You can associate file extensions with whichever program you wish.
