Great weather...

Colder weather this week, but the cirrus-clouds were amazing yesterday...

They make for some spectacular ice-defraction phenomena too... this very bright sundog ( or mock sun) appeared near sunset, that evening

It's the light of the sun broken up into the colour-spectrum by ice-crystals...

Tonight the sun reapeated the show... not so bright this time, but if you look close, you'll see a sundog at either side of the sun...

I can't wait to catch my first real halo...
