The Cirrus is such a nice-looking aeroplane. Here's an SR20 followed by an SR22. I don't know the difference offhand.

Definitely. 310 horses (-22) vs. 200 (-20). I guess the idea is: trainer or tourer.
Thanks for confirming that. Of course, I could have easily looked it up myself but I was thinking of it from the spotter's point of view. Externally they appear identical & I couldn't tell them apart from any distance. It's a good job they thought to put the type number on the fin in darned great letters.
From all accounts I'm not sure either is the ideal trainer.
