More interesting that plane almost caused a punch up between a bunch of over the top plane enthusiasts and some well non enthusiasts.
These guys were running round trying to get reg numbers, loudly trying to show off their knowledge, when this guy turns round and makes a rather loud comment along of the lines of, "these guys need to get a life". Or simmilar. Then one of the others turned round and said "oh you just dont feel the love or the vibe" or something along those lines, which got a "grow up" reply.
sufficed to say I vacated the area rather quickly.

We almost got a Balliol at Old Warden for restoration to airworthy condition but I think they decided against it for some reason. I forget why now. Charlie will know more about that than me. It would have been a nice addition to the collection of RAF trainers. IMHO
