I think truckdrivers are cool people... I see them all the time at my compagny... Spanish, Italian, French, Polish, ... most of them are nice... except for one Russian driver, who didn't like the speed of deloading, and started yelling all sorts of profanities in Russian.... My 4 collegues and I responded in Dutch... I guess he got the message...  ;D

Yes, it is a Mack, and I must say, no matter how much people have put these things down where I work, they seem to do all right.

BTW, one thing I must mention...

I could choose to go over the road, have some new Pete with a huge sleeper, all the crap on the inside, and do all that glamorous ( ::)) adventurous ( ::) :P ::)) driving that people seem to think trucking is all about, but I choose not to.

A typical photo of my Petrol Scammell Tank Transporter tractor unit, which I used to pilot whilst in the REME, (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers), in the British Army in Germany in 1956.... :)...!
Carrying Centurion Tanks on the low loader trailer.

A true monster of a truck (Larger than the diesel version).... 8-)...!

Lots of fun wrestling with the lever on the gear box...and the manual throttle on the steering column was very useful on the long Autobahn journeys... ;D...!

Paul... ;Image...Glamorgan Barracks. Duisburg. Germany. 1955- ....Memories from the past...8-)....!
