Well, I had a little time today to see about maybe doing some flying... thought I'd check out nearby 1C5, aka Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport... there is a flight school/FBO there, and supposedly they have a Champ, which I though might be fun to try.


But I was almost out of time when I finally found the place (got extremely lost- took a left on Plainfield- Naperville Road instead of Naperville Road- LOL!)...  and things were getting a bit ugly:

     


I  didn't even really have time to go inside and talk to anybody (needed time to get lost on the way back, just in case ), but I did pause to take a snap of this very well-restored T2 Buckeye.

I might stop by tomorrow and poke around some more... wx is supposed to be worse, but who knows? I might do some flying.

More or less right down the runway, but it was a steady 20 knots most of the day yesterday.

They did a great job on that Buckeye. I might go see if i can check out the Lockheed in progress...
