I assume this is an A319? Correct?

I know its a Boeing and one of the 737 series. 737-400 as a guess?

Anyway this is the plane I flew on. :)

Great photos Saitek, and the BMI aircraft is either and A319 or A320, and easyJet operate 737-300's and 737-700's (the particular aircraft in question is a -700 ;))

Those aerial pics of Scotland are amazing :o

Right. What are the differences between a 737-300 and 737-700?

400... ;) ;D [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] [smiley=beer.gif] [smiley=lolk.gif]

The 700 is one of the New Generation 737s (-600 onwards)

Oi stop laughing! I'm dumb at aircraft. I can only recognise about a handful of planes, I think Concorde would be one of those. ;)

First one is a A320, its too long to be an A319

The 600, 700, and 800 are just updates of the 300, 400, and 500, respectively.

That is an A320, not an A319. The fuselage length is slightly diferant.

The 700 is pretty much a 737-300 (Shorter than the -400 / -800)but with a new wing, optional winglets, slightly better engines, larger tail surfaces and new avionics as well as some other things.....

You can tell the diferance mainly from the wing and tail.

No, the -600 is pretty much a 300.  the -700 is much more like a 400.  Its slightly larger than a 400 with all the other things you said.  The Boeing line goes 300=600, 400=700, 500=800, and 900 is new altogether (longer, wider, taller).

Are you sure Jake? A -500 is very, very small and an -800 is the second longest 737 model if I remember rightly  :-?

Okay here's Mr. 737:

737-100 : Prototype, still one in operation with NASA

737-200 : Market version of the -100, very succesful

737-300 : Second generation of 737, CFM-56 engines, new cockpit(with FMC). And my personal favorite.

737-400 : Same as the 733, only longer

737-500 : Same as the 733, only a lot shorter, concurrent of the Fokker 100, only with a longer range.

737-600 : Same fuselage as the 735, but it's the 3rd build plane in the NG range.

737-700 : Same fuselage as the 733, only a bigger wing and tail, new CFM-56 engines, first plane in the NG range

737-800 : Whole new fuselage, longer and fits 158 passengers at max.

737-900 : Longest plane in the 737 range, fits a LOT of passengers.

737-900ER : Plane is to be set in service, this will be a sort of 757.

737-700BBJ : Executive version of the -700.

737-800BBJ2 : Executive version of the -800.

Legend:

B731 : Boeing 737-100
B732 : Boeing 737-200
B733 : Boeing 737-300
B734 : Boeing 737-400
B735 : Boeing 737-500
B736 : Boeing 737-600
B737 : Boeing 737-700
B738 : Boeing 737-800
B739 : Boeing 737-900

That was my 2 cents :)
