More N40 Spotting, part two

Last set for now. ;)

A very nice looking Columbia 400. Oh if I had the money. ::)

More Mauling. :)

This was taken atop the mound Sean was talking about. I like it. :)

The neat homebuilt Sean shared beforehand.

The spotting crew for the day. Left to right is Peg (:)), an older gentleman who I didn't get a chance to talk to, Sean, and some guy who flew in from N87 I believe. He made me jealous with his Nikon D70 and 200mm lens. :-[Image

Anyway that's it for now. Hopefully I can get back next weekend for some more fun. Anyone who cares to join me is more than welcome. :)

I'm quite tempted to drop everything & do just that. :o ;)
Nah, maybe when the weather's a tad warmer.

PS. Is that a balloon in your last shot?

Wow, you guys can get really close to the runways there.  We've got a fence with a locked gate (it needs a pass-code, I feel special when I open it ;D).  I'd be nervous on final if I saw a whole group of people standing there with cameras, just waiting to take my picture as I bounce down the runway. Those are markers on the electrical wires so aircraft landing can see where the wires are.

Well done, in both posts. Sorry I dropped that bombload of pix earlier, but hey- you weren't posting.  ;)

Dupes or no dupes, I think we're not disappointing the usual suspects.  ;D

Great time was had by all attendees.........if it was a tad closer, I'd be tempted to be there along with Doug. but in reality, he (Hagar) has us all beat with the shots he posts from his fantastic locale and the warbirds that abound there......my local little strip can only shine with waterborne craft (usually floats) but once in a while we have some rare stuff compared to the eastern folks........well done James and Sean ! !
