Surprise visitor ..............

Hanging around the fence at Shoreham - as I do - waiting to see what turns up. That sounds familiar. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. 8) :D

That was a piece of luck as I almost left 15 minutes earlier. Persistence pays off in the end. ;)

Nice bit of luck there... she's beautiful.
How many of those trainer variants are still airworthy, anybody know?

As James said, that last one is great Hagar. Shoreham looks like such a beautiful place to live, and the addition of a Spitfire on a beautiful backdrop would never fail to please....  8)

Thanks chaps. I rather like that last one myself.
I spent an enjoyable day at Shoreham today & this was the icing on the cake. I should have plenty more to post soon as it's the Airbourne 'do' at Eastbourne in a couple of weeks. Just hope the weather holds out.

4 in the UK, one or two in the states...

Thanks Charlie. I was hoping you'd confirm that. For airworthy Spitfires this site seems to be pretty much up-to-date. http://www.militaryairshows.co.uk/spitaw.htm

Vince there is that possibility. It costs a fair few quid and the waiting list is about 4 years at the moment ;)

do you have any web sites or adress ozzy please?

it was a project we had with few friends, riding our bike from paris to duxford or wherever, camping, go for a lifetime memorable flight on board the spit, and back...

4 years should be enough to convince my bank... :'(
