Postby BAW0343 » Sun Jul 30, 2006 1:19 am

One of the best photo sets i have ever taken  :o :o heres what I conciderd the best  ;D Also whats cool is the water in the wash was verry dirty, but in the right light look just like a real river  ;D also this area thoughout the year is usually bone dry but thanks to a lot of rain last night I was able to see this. Probably the most water this wash has seen in many years ;D

Very artistic. What is a wash? I imagine it's flood water.

I knew I shoudhave explaned  ;D A wash is basicly letting out floodwater, sometimes a wash can be in your ally just behind your house. They are very common scince the ground is quite hard and it doesent absorb much water so the water has no place to go. Most small washes lead to the larger ones like here where I was takeing photos.  The amount of rain we got  that night was about 1-3 in. Not much you say? Maby not for england, or parts of the U.S. but this is Arizona my friend! We ususally don't get that much water in a year!
