Biggin Hill - some of the rest

Postby Hagar » Sun Jun 04, 2006 12:43 am

OK, that's enough young ladies for now. Back to the planes. ;)

Summer seems to be here at last. A quick impression of this varied show before I leave for Old Warden.

Nigel Lamb's tribute to the late great Ray Hanna closed the show.

A wonderful day of great entertainment.

that Mustang shot, is quite possibly your best shot yet, on quality and angle alone.
Love the typhoon and harrier shots though myself ;) ;D

We had to leave early to complete a 3 mile walk back to New Addington (No bus service...typical) and as we were walking past the threshhold of rw3 the gnat and spit came straight over our heads really close together! Great sight. Then as we walked down the lane the spit just kept coming round and going over us. Actually felt like it was the Battle of Britain!

Is that a Belgian Fouga Magister I see?

I love the P-51 and Suhhoi shots! Very clear and nice composition!

Well done old chap!  ;)

Superb shots!

I'm going to have to polish my photographing skills for the Koksijde Airshow in July so I can produce such magnificent pics like these :)

I didnt see the lancaster incident, but according to the commentators, the undercarriage was damaged on landing in the morning so it couldn't display. You could still see it on the other side of the airfield though

That one is on my list aswell. I must be there, cause it's probably going to be the last airshow at Koksijde, cause they will shorten the runway so much, jets can't land there anymore. They do promise a helicopter-event though...

So, maybe we'll meet!  ;)
