Uneventful weekend

I was in the area so I decided to visit RAF Waddington, which to be honest was completely a waste of time.

Now there's an oxymoron.

Real shame you didn't visit Coningsby :-[

You need to give the source who told you nothing was happening at CBY a talking too! :D ;)

I see the problem in why nothing was flying...

"Weekend"! ;)

You're not gonna get much military action on a weekend, I'm afraid, unless it's an airshow, or a special event.

Like Heathaze said, you would have been better off at Coningsby, where the families day was going on (permitting it was the Saturday). BBMF, Hunter, Sabre, Typhoon, F-16, just to name a few!

Yep - RAF normally equals 8 - 5 Monday to Friday!

Families day are normally worth standing at the gates for, even in you can't get in (you normally won't, although occasionally you get "spotters" days)...
