Lets let ozzy ID the Mk of the spit from just the engine

That gate guard in the last image is a Hun..... the North American F-100 Super Sabre.......... 8)

Mk XVI judging by the shape of the exhausts ;)

And the TE serial number almost certainly makes it a XVI. Not all XVI had round pipe exhausts however ;)

Am I going mad or are those 'exhaust covers' on the Spit just a bunch of tennis balls on some string?
