Oh whoops

Here we are at Shoreham on a nice sunny day. Lovely isn't it? 8)

A little drama is about to unfold & spoil the happy scene.

Oh dear. You didn't want to be doing that. :'(

It was such a nice day too. Wonder if they lost their no-claims bonus. ::)

Shame. Not sure there was much damage but they won't be flying again this weekend.

What did happen? I'm not quite sure what to look for in the pictures... Did the Yak rear-end the Diamond Star? Looks like an awful lot of attention by the security-forces...

Majestic background for an airport, btw...  ;)

Glad to see the weather was good for a change...

That's not security forces, it's the airport fire brigade. Jolly efficient they are too. I didn't actually witness the aforesaid incident. I was told the big nasty Yak ran into the poor little Diamond Star, ever so gently mind. I bet they hardly felt the bump.

Ooops... Brake failure or driving (? - taxying) without due care and attention? ;) ;D

Hopefully no one will suffer to much bother over this, and no one was hurt...

As he was on approach it wasnt a closed air valve... But it has the reputation of having arkward brakes (pedals control direction valve but the brakes are done with a handle on the yoke)

Lucky for the Yak that he didn't have a spinner... that would have made quite a bigger mess. now its only a dented bolt cover (no big deal)

After the first photo, with my favourite landmark, it's just a bunch of planes .... :)

Ouch.
I hope it was due to brake trouble with the Yak, otherwise how could one manage to rear-end somebody on a straight taxiway... unless one was following too closely...? :P

Taxiing is full of peril... I'm known for taxiing like an old lady, and so far that technique has served me well.
